Elon Musk Considers Sending All Americans $5,000 Checks From DOGE Savings

Elon Musk has considered sending all Americans $5,000 checks from DOGE savings.

The billionaire responded to a suggestion on X, of a ‘DOGE Dividend’ – basically stating that he should give US citizens a $5k refund using savings from the DOGE aka the Department of Government Efficiency.

The CEO of Azoria, James Fishback, who is an outside advisor for DOGE was the X user who made the suggestion. He wrote: “President Trump and @ElonMusk should announce a ‘DOGE Dividend’—a tax refund check sent to every taxpayer, funded exclusively with a portion of the total savings delivered by DOGE.”

He also attached a PDF with the title ‘The case for a DOGE Dividend.’

The Tesla CEO responded ‘Will check with the President’. See below:

He also responded to another post, adding: “Obviously, the President is the Commander-in-Chief, so this is entirely up to him”.

Fishback thanked Musk and said he was ‘honored’ that he was interested in ‘our DOGE Dividend proposal for President Trump.’

DOGE has saved $55 billion by cutting out government waste, according to doge.gov – coming from ‘fraud detection/deletion, contract/lease cancellations, contract/lease renegotiations, asset sales, grant cancellations, workforce reductions, programmatic changes, and regulatory savings,’.

However, DOGE has also faced criticism for reportedly having unrestricted access to sensitive government information across multiple federal agencies.
