Jin Gu customers may be put off roasted duck for life after discovering the classic dish wasn’t exactly as advertised.

During a police investigation, the establishment has been shut down and the owners are currently under investigation.

The restaurant was raided last month and footage shared shows bowls of plucked and cooked pigeons…yikes.
Footage shared by police also showed some nasty looking meat hanging from clothes dryers in the kitchen.

Media shared that unlabelled and undated meat and fish was stored in freezers that were broken. Police claimed that there were rat traps and cockroaches in the kitchen, next to the food prep station.
Police also reported that the cookware and knives were rusted and there were no thermometers to measure the temperatures of the food storage areas.

Sea cucumbers, which are forbidden by marine law, were also found.

The owners are now being investigated and authorities are looking into animal cruelty charges, as well as consumer violation charges.
The restaurant is currently rated 4.2 on Google, with lots of positive feedback from past customers.
“The duck I think is a little dry and lots of bones, not that tasty,” reads one review from five years ago.
