On Thursday, a school bus transporting approximately 35 students and two adults from Pine Ridge Middle School overturned on I-77 in South Carolina due to a tire blowout. The bus was en route back from a field trip when it tipped onto its side in heavy traffic, resulting in several children being trapped in the debris.
Emergency personnel, comprising five medical helicopters, promptly reached the location. Several students were taken to local hospitals for medical care. Aerial footage documented the scene, revealing the bus overturned while first responders attended to the injured.
